Stephen Heffernan
Stephen Heffernan,MD of SERIMA1 has been elected Chairman of both the Consultants Division of the Irish Security Industry Association  and the Association of Irish Risk Management
Stephen remarked that it was an honour and a pleasure to be elected to both posts and feels that the crossover of information and synergy between the two areas will ultimately benefit his clients. Stephen mentions one particular area of late  which he finds crosses over Security and other areas of risks and the knock on effect of both is, vacant buildings. Stephen has come across the normal security issues when advising in this area but also finds that there are underlying risks which some people forget about. In particular such items as turning off water, gas appliances ,lead flashing and flooding as wel las chemical de-commissioning and removal. Stephen sees challenging times ahead in both spheres and is happy to ensure that he is abreast of all current legislation and best practise in these areas.
